The above process must be followed before a stray can be taken in to Little Paws.

Little Paws does not have authority to get involved in any welfare or neglect cases with owned cats. Should you have concerns, you will need to call the RSPCA.

Found a stray cat?

Before Little Paws can help and take in the stray cat in question, the following steps must be taken to ensure the cat is not owned and all areas have been covered to locate the owner while the cat is in the area.

         Have all neighbours been contacted?

Have posters put up with a photo and contact number

Have you posted on all local pages and lost and found pet pages on social media

Paper collar placed on the cat with contact details. (If you are unable to place this, when taking the cat to             the vet I am sure they will be happy to place this for you).

Taken to the vet for microchip scan

Contact a rescue and join a waiting list to get the cat to safety. Continue to feed and care for cat until in the care of the rescue.

Should the cat come to Little Paws Woodcote, the carer/ feeder / finder of this cat will need to trap the cat and bring them to the rescue. I can lend the traps and advice on using and setting up.
